True, however they wouldn't be doing it through marijuana. They would do it through other drugs. And marijuana makes up a very high percentage of profits in the black market. And abuse is something that will always happen.

Thank you for the thought you put into that answer. I think to totally legalize it like alcohol is would be a bad idea, because like alcohol, it will be even more abused than it is now. I also do not believe the argument, that if you legalize marijuana, then the people who are pushing it illegally, will be out of business. They will always find another way of making money illegally.

Thank you for your balanced answer.I am a Reformed Christian woman in my 40's and have enjoyed strong health all my life until contracting a mosquito borne virus 12 years ago. My specialists tell me the fibromyalgia I now have is from that virus. Sometimes the pain is so intense, I can hardly walk. Having tried many prescribed meds, with no success and awful side effects, a friend suggested I try a little cannabis indica. In 10 minutes my pain was gone. I was not stoned, just thankful.

Hmmm I'm not sure. The best argument I've heard from a person who says "but it's Natural" is when this pastor said "well.. so is poison Ivy, but I'm sure your not going to rub it all over your body are ya?" He had a good point. If they found a way to put in a pill form instead of smoking it. I think."go for it"

Almost anything can be addictive and yes abuse will always happen, but you will have more abuse of marijuana if it were to become legal. It is a mind altering drug that does impair your judgment. I have had many people tell me that they drive better when they are stoned. How many people think that they are impaired, when they drive their car drunk and then kill someone? I have been both stoned and drunk many times in my younger years, and I know for a fact the effect that it has on you.

I strongly believe that to be stoned or drunk is not God honoring. He tells us that. To ingest a small amount of this medicinal herb to take away pain, and stop there...way before getting stoned is a blessing. Some of the meds I was prescribed were very potent and made me feel stoned; 1 reason I hated taking them. I can't stand the feeling of being, out of control. Some of the meds had potentially life threatening side effects. Comparatively, this is a safe medication. No recorded deaths.
